How far really, how far could it be?

Beyond the frothy waves, beyond the sea,

the island of dreams, a soothing lullaby

I sing to her each night, as she goes to sleep !

 

We sit by the shore, by the sun and the sand,

Waves washing our feet and her tiny hands…

As she laughs and runs, happy and carefree

I wish she knew what her story could have been…

 

Living deep down those azure tides,

she believes a mermaid beautiful and kind,

Who could hold her hand and lead the way,

To the island of dreams which she wishes to tread !

 

Hidden in secret in those unexplored isles,

she tells me, a priceless treasure lies

A magical gate and its golden key,

To find her lost Dad under the sea !

 

Would you ever, would you ever come back ?

To see the treasure, you could never look at ?

The castles in the sand that she builds for you,

The love in her eyes, the hopes in her heart…!
