Walk if you can, if you will
face the blazing sun and its scorching wrath,
with a smile on your face, stride along the path
so what if it gets tough, chin up and look ahead
where there is sun, there’s bound to be shade…
Walk if you can, if you will
make your mark in the sea of faces galore,
You be that rock that glistens on the shore,
as the thousand names on the sand wash away ,
the roaring tides retreat, yet you don’t ever sway…
Walk if you can, if you will
change your thoughts and change your ways,
for when have you seen or heard of a maze,
that unravels itself to one lost in its haze!
The sea never parts, the mountains don’t bend
You swim through the waters, not stop till the end…
Walk if you can, if you will
find your own way no matter what
and if in doing so, if you ever break my heart
I will not shed a tear, if you trust my words
For my heart will only smile to see you move forward…
Walk if you can, if you will
Do take with you, pieces of my broken heart,
remnants of a hope, that we have grown apart,
a few unfinished dreams, would you hold them close
and live the life that so dearly you chose
don’t you look back, don’t you ever change your mind
I will rest in peace,
in the arms of a love that was pure yet never blind…
