I saw you that night

In all your silver glory

The fading sash around you

kissing you, in vain

I knew

You had your eyes just for me

Did you wink at me?

All I remember that night,

I was born again !

 

I look at you

through the gush of a storm

and a piercing rain

Layer after layer my heart lay bare,

in an eternal wait, wet and tender,

the cool warmth of your eyes

that could never be mine,

I see you by my side now,

Yet you have always been

galaxies afar…
